Welcome to the home page of the International Society for Hydrocephalus and Cerebrospinal Fluid Disorders (ISHCSF)

The ISHCSF was inaugurated in September 2008 and registered as a nonprofit organization in December of the same year. From the beginning, its mission has been to advance the art and science of the field of clinical care and research in hydrocephalus and CSF disorders, and thereby promote the best possible care for patients with these disorders. You are encouraged to join the Society to promote international exchanges, worldwide representation, and stimulating research and debate. With the success of our meetings in Goteburg, Sweden, in 2006, Hannover, Germany, in 2008, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, in 2009, Crete, Greece, in 2010, and recently Copenhagen, Danmark in 2011 we now eagerly await our next meeting, which is scheduled to be held in Kyoto, Japan from October 19-22, 2012. Currently in the planning stages, the 2012 congress will continue the great success of the Copenhagen meeting. Again, the world's leading researchers in the areas of hydrocephalus and CSF disorders will be actively involved in its preparation, and specialists who are significantly contributing to the progress of the field will be invited to address the assembly. We would be happy to welcome YOU in Kyoto and to hear your ideas and suggestions for the meeting.
